MGoS Handbook for HLPF Participation
The Handbook is a practical guide to how Major Groups and other Stakeholders can engage in the HLPF and related UN processes at national, regional and global levels. It explains what the HLPF is, how it functions under ECOSOC and under the General Assembly, and which formal mandates underpin stakeholder participation. It also describes in concrete terms how the MGoS Coordination Mechanism works, how it organises collective inputs and how stakeholders can connect to these processes in practice.
The publication is meant both as a navigation tool for civil society and stakeholder constituencies, especially those entering this space for the first time, and as a reference for Member States and UN entities who wish to better understand how MGoS participation has been institutionalised and implemented over time.
